In January I will be 46. Oh boy. It’s hard to believe that I am closer to 50 than 40. The good news is that I have great health, a strong body, some of my hair still remains, and with my health and fitness business I get to work when I want and with whom I want. Though my family is not exempt from challenges, life rocks, but I want to improve.
I believe that happiness comes from incremental progress and from overcoming challenging obstacles. We were born to improve and get better, it’s create or disintegrate. Good old Benjamin said it best:
“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” Benjamin Franklin
In my search for improvement I have realized that we all have battles that must be fought. Though most of us rarely encounter life and death scenarios, the study of modern-day and ancient-warrior mindset has much to offer us today as we become increasingly sedentary and lose important survival skills.
In my search for continued growth and progress, I will be embarking on my warrior’s journey of “Extreme Leadership” involving physical, spiritual and financial improvement. Here’s my plan:
The sum is much great than the parts. In this process, I will identify mentors and associates who will be team oriented and desirous to join me in their own journey to improve physically, spiritually and financially.
If you seek improvement and a team environment, I invite you to join a group of us already forming that is dedicated to mentoring and learning from each other.
I’m in good shape, but I want to be in great shape. I want to make my next jump in muscle gains and physical condition. I want to get bigger, faster and more shredded. Perhaps a tall order for a middle-aged father of 5 losing his hair, but I refuse to buy into that. Before I turn 46, I will to gain 6 more pounds of muscle and drop 3% body fat.
For the past 2 years I have mentored many friends and clients to achieve their own personal goals. With my own experience, work with clients, and new fitness tools, I have the extreme confidence that with the right knowledge and motivation I can achieve my goals and help other motivated “warriors” achieve the body they desire.
If you seek the confidence of a stronger and more lean body, I invite you to join a group of supportive warriors dedicated to becoming unstoppably fit no matter your current age or physical condition.
James Faust said, “A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being.”
I want to be more grateful for what I have. I want to have a mind more at peace while still fueled by the passion of a big dream. I want to be more courageous and happy. I want to have more love for my bride and children. I want to spread well-being and security to more people wanting the same.
If you seek more gratitude, peace of mind, passion, courage, happiness, love and well-being, I invite you to join a group of warriors already committed to that path.
Thank you Zig Ziglar for this truth, “Money isn’t the most important thing in life, but it’s reasonably close to oxygen on the ‘gotta have it’ scale.”
I like money, and I want more of it. However, I plan to give so much value, other like-minded warriors will desire to join a mastermind dedicated to helping each profit and flourish. Those who are attracted to the idea of creating value in an abundance exchange are invited.
Self-Defense & Warrior Mindset
This is where I really need help. As a guy that was nearly jumped by three teenagers in the YMCA locker room for strongly suggesting they take their girlfriend out while I change, I must have some self-defense answers before I get clobbered when making what I saw as a reasonable request – not having a teenage girl present while I change.
To turn me into a self-defense warrior, I intend to study various self-defense forms but I will start with Forward Movement Training (FMT) where I will be personally trained by warrior princess, Jessica Ward-Farrias and former SWAT operator, Matt Schneider. In my first hour at FMT’s state of the art facility this week, the warrior princess showed me kindness, some mockery but mostly patience as she taught me the basics of hand guns.
I felt inadequate and incapable as I first picked up the weapon. In one hour I had direction which created a hunger to become the defender and protector of my family.
After I explained my journey and experience at FMT to a fellow warrior brother, he wrote me about his desire to join the journey. “Jeff this is awesome man. The reality is we live in perilous times. Men are getting soft or have been soft for way too many decades. Skills have been lost. Testosterone is dwindling away. This is what men need. We are lost right now. With no skills to do what is necessary in order to protect, the moment we are caught off guard is the moment we lose the fight and regret how pathetic we have become the rest of our lives.”
“This needs to stop now! It times to get jacked, no more being soft.” With the help of Matt at FMT and awesome warrior brothers like Travis, we intend to learn hand-to-hand training, hunting, survival and first aid.
I am pumped!!
If you desire to protect the ones you love, teach others to do the same, and be with warriors dedicated to prevent home invasions, vehicle abductions, robbery, close quarter and hand-to-hand combat basics all while achieving a new level of warrior mindset, then you are invited to our warrior band committed to helping each other become who we were meant to be.
Each of us has an inner warrior that must be unleashed. I believe that many of us have become soft and complacent. Don’t worry, I am not going to leave my house and go live in the woods without electricity, but I certainly think that we need to get our edge back. We were not meant to be weak, useless, and soft.
It is time to get off the couch and be with others dedicated to help me perform under pressure, move like a warrior, act, fight, protect, love, nurture, provide and defend. Join me and let’s get better together.
