As a network marketer, if you want to make more money, start by talking to people less about money. Knowing what is really important to you is vital if you expect to have any manner of success in life, and I’ll give you a hint, I doubt money is what really drives you. As a self-described fanatical entrepreneur, it has been very important for me to understand that I am more motivated by ideas and movements than money. The funny part is that the more I focus on my loves and passions, the more money I make.
I was recently on a trip with Philip Niu when we were talking to a person who was interested in joining our health movement with Sanki Global. We did all the things you would expect to build rapport and get to know each other. In the process of getting to know each other, she told us that she had recently gone back to a career that she disliked, but helped her provide for her family. She also told us that she loved our health movement but she had recently joined another financial services network marketing company that was almost identical in many ways to the career she had told us she disliked.
Philip then asked the most pointed question possible when he asked her, “If you hate you job, isn’t it very likely that you are going to hate building this new business too?” Her response was pretty shocking when she said, “Oh my gosh, yes, I am going to hate it!” She then proceeded to have tears swell up in her eyes and became instantly flushed.
I was taught at an early age by my successful grandfather that you must love what you are doing if you expect to succeed. He always told me that money follows value and passion.
I challenge you to ask yourself what you really love, then ask yourself if you are doing it each day. If you are working with an eye on just money, you will eventually burn out. If you love what you do and you are truly providing value, money will follow.
