Question – After a very important prospect tells me no, should I give up on them and move on?Question – After a very important prospect tells me no, should I give up on them and move on?

Answer – You always move on, but never give up, never surrender.

Today we met with a prospect we first contacted almost a year ago. When we first met, we spent almost a month trying to get him to join us. He eventually chose another company. We were disappointed, but we parted on very friendly terms.

However, we have stayed in touch periodically and remained friendly. After a year of not pushing but also not letting him forget, he now is quite interested.

Send top prospects an email monthly to say hi. Invite them to be a Facebook friend. Wish them happy birthday. Stay visible but not obtrusive. You never know what will come of it.
