		<description>Amy,

The easy answer is that it is another test that Brunswick has done to test the antioxidant capacity of our product. The longer answer is below:

The ORAC Scale is a measure of the oxygen radical absorption capacity in foods. In other words they battle free radicals. The higher the ORAC the more free radicals the fight.

Free radicals are the enemy that antioxidants battle. The oxidative stress caused by free radicals — which are produced during normal metabolism and cell function, as well as pollutants in our air, water and food — is implicated in everything from aging and wrinkling of skin to DNA damage, diabetes, cancer and heart disease.

People concered aabout their health, or just looking and feeling more like when they were young should be concerned about the amount of antioxidants they take to battle free radicals.
The ORAC Scale on antioxidant capacity

All antioxidant capacity measures are estimated by Ferric Reducing Power, and are expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent (TE) per 100 grams (µTE/100 g).

Brunswick Laboratories offers a wide range of industry-leading, proprietary tests that measure the total antioxidant capacity of substances, including a fat-soluble assay for the peroxyl radical and assays for the hydroxyl (HORAC) and peroxynitrite (NORAC) radicals.

   1. ORAC hydro (peroxyl radical/water-soluble)
   2. ORAC lipo (peroxyl radical/fat-soluble)
   3. HORAC  (hydroxyl radical)
   4. NORAC (peroxynitrite radical)
   5. Total ORAC
          * ORAC hydro
          * ORAC lipo
          * ORACHO
   6. Total Phenolics Content
   7. Total Anthocyanins Content

		<description>Jeffery,

Can you tell me what NORAC and HORAC means in relation to Jus?
