Also, I believe mentoring is not always giving pat little answers like, “If you would just try harder, you will succeed”, or “Why don’t you have a more positive attitude and you will grow a big business”.
Mentoring is also pointing others to a correct road map because if you are trying to get to New York with a road map for San Francisco, you can work as hard as you ever worked with the best attitude in the world, but never, ever get to New York. (Stephen Covey example)
